That's the proper upgrade for sure, better calipers.

If you can't afford to go the whole hog with new calipers, look for "DBA 4000 T3" slotted rotors (about $450-$550 a pair). Pads I'd recommend from experience for street duties and occasional spirited driving are QFM HP-X and Remsa, both well priced (under $100 delivered from memory). Remsa are very dusty but work well. I might go back to the QFM HP-X pads next time as they were a little cleaner and still worked well for street.

yeah im not going to be doing any serious engine mods as of yet, so I wont need brembos (love to have them though!)

but I hate the brakes that come with them, especially since its a more powerful car than a standard falcon you would think they could put a decent set of rotors on it.

Even Expensive Daewoo put some good brakes on their special edition model (though it took a special edition to do it)

that's the go the T3 sound good, just for arguments sake, whats the difference between those ones you mentioned and the gold version?

Not sure on "gold" but you may mean the DBA5000's which are a separate rotor and hat (I think they call it). Replacements are cheaper as the central part that sits on the hub stays the same. Also transfers less heat to the wheel hub. Think the advantages were covered earlier in this thread, maybe one of the other stickies though.

But yeah change pads straight up for better bite over stock pads. Pay attention to bedding in process, plan ahead for that open empty highway to use for repeated high speed to low speed braking. People tend to be a bit WTF when they see you doing it and it could be a hazard.

I was looking at T3 but got a set of T2 for free, that well do. I'm heading towards Bendix Street Race Track pads price about the $290 fronts only. Not cheap but told they're really good and worth getting........SOLD!!

Hoping to get them on with in the next few weeks. Can't wait.

As we all know stock are crap.
