I did this experiment when I was trying to get the best sound out of my dual outlet cat back exhaust.. with the centre muffler in it wasnt loud enough to me.. so my exhaust guy tried a resonator.. then tried a hot dog to see what sounded the best.. I went with the resonator because the hotdog for some reason sounded like a fart in a can and had a really annoying clapping hollow sound when it was cold.. The resonator muffled the hollowness slightly and gave it more of a rumble which is what I was looking for.. Good luck with it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
