hey guys,

I have an xr6 N/A and im looking to make some upgrades to the car. I am wanting to know what I can do to give the car a better note and give it a deep tone. im not wanting a full exhaust system as im just after giving my car a better note. im not in a position to be spending big bucks as I have other mods in mind. one of my best mates has a xr6 N/A ute and hes just got a rear muffler on it and it has a deep purring note.

how am I able to make my xr6 louder so that it can be heard when driving??

thanks guys

Anthony

I have an NA xr6 with extractors and a 2.5 sports exhaust. this is what it sounds like. its loud and it screams above 3000rpm.

the audio I am attaching I rev it to 3000rpm in neutral as it wont rev anymore if u r in neutral.

my local exhaust shop did it, for $1100. it sounds like an 8.

yeah its a BA XR6. u have to hear it over 3000rpm, it screams.

I ll see if I can record a new sound of it revving it out more.

back to my original question, a mate of mine has a xr6 ute and im pretty sure all hes got is a muffler and it sounds awesome and like a v8. as I said before im not prepared to spend big bucks on a whole exhaust system or extractors as im looking for a cheaper alternative. does anyone know what would work well?
