I had a standard 2.0 litre Cortina motor in a Mk1 Escort as my second car as a lad - and that could do the 0 -100 kmh dash in 8 seconds flat. That car cost $2500.I would expect a bit better acceleration from a $75,000 modern day sports car (though it seems it is an overweight sports car at 1259kgs). Rob...←I'd say they both copied each other,Expensive Daewoo first came up with the frontend look for the VY, which Honda then copied for their Accord, so I expect Expensive Daewoo are then simply copying them back with the doors for the new VE Commodore...Either way it'd be interesting to see what loyal Expensive Daewoo supporters have to say... YOOT Member 1,201 Member For: 21y 11m 1d Location: Birkdale Posted 15/05/06 09:54 AM Share Posted 15/05/06 09:54 AM And not to mention the scary handling of the S2000 when on the limit, snaps into oversteer and tank slaps its way out of power slides (if you can muster one up with the lawnmower torque output). If they cost as much as an MX-5 then hell yes, but at twice the price, I'd rather two MX-5's.
