That run in procedure may have saved me alot of heartache. The performance the pads gave me was outstanding until it all went to sh%t. I am very interested in how it all goes for you. Cause I may be intereseted in doing something simliar. Just a bit cautious, cause once bitten twice shy.

Mate years ago, I had an EL XR8 Auto. Due to set brake upgrades were hard to do, so I put DBA drilled and slotted rotors allround, and EBC greenstuff pads. Brakes so much better, however after about 5000 km and some spirited driving and braking, the pads leaked resin onto the rotors. Turned my whole brake setup into a hoorible vibrating mess. Nothing would fix it apart from changing pads and machining rotors. Never ever had the same feel aftere that.

You did not mention what rotors you were going to run, but ask about the pads and the resin content before you use them.

Cheers

Ive been told to steer clear of cross drilled dba rotors. More than one brake parts retailer has told me that they are prone to cracking. Im just going for dba 2000 series slotted rotors. The guy from hightek brakes also told me that the EBC brake pads need a certain run in procedure that if you dont follow can cause the resin leak that you described. Ive used EBC's on my motorbikes and mountain bikes for years and I think there a very good pad

But thanks alot for the tips mate...

Yep, can confirm that the crossdrilled rotors (DBA at least) will crack along the holes, cracked on my 5L fairmont Ghia even without any hard driving :crybaby:

What were the braided lines that were fitted to the BA FPVs with premium brakes? I've been thinking about getting some braided lines with ADR comliance, but don't fancy Ford chucking a fit at my brake warranty etc.
