Hi all

just got my herrod stealth tuner in the mail and have booked the car into HPF for a custom tune in 2 weeks.

I cant wait   :spoton:  :spoton: so I was going to load the 8psi program and give it a go but dose this need the plugs to be adjusted?

Load up the 8psi and give it a go. If the plugs need gapping you will soon know however won't do the car any harm if they breakdown.

Given that you are going to have to re-gap your plugs prior to a custom tune you may as well do it anyways :spoton:

I paid $700 privately for the tuner its new and never been installed before. This was a better option than $950-995 from a business :spoton: .

Can anyone tell me what the T sounds like with the centre muffler removed as HPF has suggested it when the custom tune is done :spoton: .

It sounds throatier without being loud. You will also get a burble when backing off the accelerator. This will accentuated if you go for straight through pipes as opposed to installing a couple of hotdogs. Some have reported that pipes only cause a bit of droning @ cruise.

Why did HPF suggest you remove the centre muffler, was it just for the note?

Given that the stock cat is the restriction I wouldn't of thought removing the centre muffler would make any difference to the flow rate of the exhaust.

HPF have been advocates of removing the centre muffler for a long time. There are gains to be had by doing it.
