I am just new into the xr6 turbo scene and I was wonder wat would be the best mods for my BF XR6 Turbo, without upsetting my insuarnace too much and being street legal without breaking the budget or warramty?

Would it be a chip or a muffler or what? for a bit extra power

Thank You

XR6 Turbo, Chris

Welcome aboard,

First up, a "chip" has a few options for the T, Edit is stealth, quick to instal and remove and can be used on other cars later if you swap without too much drama, it also offer the best bang for buck (about $1k) available, it will also serve as a great starting platform for any future mods you may want to do from base to 400rwkw and beyond, the edit will do it.

Exhausts on a stock t dont do too much as the factory ecu is very restrictive, and you may even go backwards in power if the ECU detects the mods so to speak.

depending on where you live, find a good tuner, like HPF, Nizpro, Extreme, and get an edit custom tuned to your car, you will love it.

Edit tune is the only way to go... start with that first and see how you go...
