Evening lads,

My BF auto ute has now done 500ks. In manual shift mode its taking a lot longer when I change from 1 to 2 than any of the other changes, which are very clean and sharp. Is this normal????

Mine seems quite normal on every change, smooth changes, not harsh at all..

The only times it thuds into 2nd if I change in manual mode right on the limiter, goes in that hard the a#ss end feels like it going to rip out..lol...

Sorry F6 , Im an impatient pick just like my driving. I noticed the auto doesnt go back to first when coming to a stop, only 2nd. Why is it so?

Normal operation, with this much torque, doesn't need to go back to 1st, unless YOU want it to of course, just for fun maybe or perhaps a quick getaway from the lights......

Was talking with Cooltint (so unlike Al to have a chat) about his auto and he mentioned that 1st gear is over and done with before you realise. So perhaps it's just that you're reving it out too much before changing gears and the limiter is getting in your way.
