In manual shift mode its taking a lot longer when I change from 1 to 2 than any of the other changes, which are very clean and sharp. Is this normal???? zeggie Member 3 Member For: 18y 8m 23d Posted 06/05/06 09:05 AM Share Posted 06/05/06 09:05 AM The 6 speed autos ive driven are similar. Apparently because they change ratio from 1st to 2nd gear. They all seem to have a thud or clunk from 1>2 as well.

FSIX Member 566 Member For: 19y 1m 6d Posted 06/05/06 10:29 AM Share Posted 06/05/06 10:29 AM Mine seems quite normal on every change, smooth changes, not harsh at all.. The only times it thuds into 2nd if I change in manual mode right on the limiter, goes in that hard the a#ss end feels like it going to rip out..lol... I noticed the auto doesnt go back to first when coming to a stop, only 2nd. Why is it so?←Normal operation, with this much torque, doesn't need to go back to 1st, unless YOU want it to of course, just for fun maybe or perhaps a quick getaway from the lights...... So perhaps it's just that you're reving it out too much before changing gears and the limiter is getting in your way.
