I am not trying to be nasty - but why do people who are so keen on Nissans like to come onto Ford sites and have a go at Fords?  Do you like the Falcon?

Can you please scroll up and see who attacked who first, and with what lame comment too :spoton:

There are cool guys on this forum that appreciate all good cars and there are dimwits who are mind f*cking themselves thinking their 30 K "T" is the best car on the planet... they also like to troll other NON Ford people with useless flaming as witnessed above.

And yes I do appreciate a Barra T engine... I was thinking of buying an XR6T prior but then figured out Ive no need for 4 doors (young and single) and Id rather keep 12-15 K in my pocket as my Skyline was way cheaper for similar performance.

:fool:

looks kinda weird to me. the rear looks really funny. doesn't look half as good as the vz ss/sv6's IMO

I wanted to get a s2 r33 gtst. heaps good value for money I reakon. but then with the way these cars depreciate, decided to get a newer more comfy car.

still have a thing for the series 2's though

I dont get it...

You drive a GTS-T, but like the look of the new commonwhore which you think looks like a WRX... all in a ford based forum?? :wtf:

And I think you will find the original turbo was produced by SAAB... not nissan :spoton:  (reference your sig)

:spoton:

I like all fast cars mate... is that hard to work out?

and yes SAAB made the turbo but the Japs perfected it... as they usually do with Western technology... :msm:

 Mate settle down I was just :pooh: stirring...

I didnt attack you and I dont have leaky window seals

I disagree dude. Imports dont depreciate much compared to Ford/Holden... its a known fact... you buy a brand new Falcon for 40-50 grand... after 1 years its worth around 3/4 of its price... after 3-4 years its worth half...

How much were BA Xr6ts when they came out new in 2002? 48 grand? now you can buy them for 25 grand.

I bought my GTST S2 for just under 18 grand (mint condition, only 43000km)... im quiet sure if I keep it mint thae I can sell it for 13-15 grand in a few years... and I got dealer warranty for 4 years with it too... extra 800 bucks.

but yeh S2 R33s look nice, never been fan of R32s or S1 R33s... I love r34s though.

Yet again you are continuing this irritating habit of yours by comparing two totally different things. New cars hypothetically loose 25% of their value the first time they are driven out of the yard.

How much is it to buy one of your better-than-anything-else vehicles brand new? Try doing your sums with comparative starting points you clown.

I have to agree with TAB - you can compare the depreciation on a used scragly Nissan to the depreciation on a new Sparkly Shining Ford.

If you want to do that - find a Falcon of the same year as your car - then compare - and I bet you will find the Ford comes out on top for mid-age cars.

Go back a few years - eg a 1969 Falcon - and if in good condition - it is probably worth more now than it was new. I bet you cant say the same for any main stream Nissan of the same age.

GTHO Phase 2 or 3 (whatever it is) yes... not base falcon... unles its been sitting around being waxed day to day.
