The stock system is twin 2.5 inch

Twin 2.5", pritty sure they are only twin 2.25"!

anyways agree with every one else unless upgrading to 3.5" don't do it!

3.5" dump, 3.5" cat, middle muffler removed replaced with 3.5" to diff and you sound like a boat out water  but it's a free flowing zorst! :tease: that will make plenty of pwr and make you over boost and experience what limp mode feels like every time you tromp it  untill you get it tuned!

yes mate you are right, they are twin 2 1/4 stock

Firstly - welcome to the forum.

As others have implied - fitting a 3" exhaust may actually mean you are going backwards in parts - If you are going to do an exhaust go 4", or just replace cat and centre muffler on stock. All hareware mods should be accompanied by an appropriate tune.

As for the ford flasher (edit), again as others have indicated, this has been available for maybe 15 months or a little more now. New releases of the dealler software are released from time to time which add functionality, but these are fairly mature for the BA's.

I hope you continue to enjoy your car!

Cheers,

Ben.

Hey Ben...

Is he referring to 'live' tuning? As I believe the edit as it currently stands can't be tuned 'live' while on the dyno, it's a matter of make some changes, upload it to the car, see how it goes, and then more of the same till happy with the tune... whereas the LS1 edit when performed is tuned live with the car on the rollers... or am I mistaken?

I remember reading somewhere else on here about live tuning of the edit but I can't remember where...

Yes Jack - there was a post about that - not sure on the truth or otherwise of it. Obviously this would allow the tuner to tweak the tune with less iteration and save time, however if they pursue the best possible tune using the current methodology and the parameters available to change are not altered, in theory I beleive this will not change the end product.

In practice it might hover - it just depends how much time the tuner is prepared to spend chasing the final tweaks given the current method take a reasonable time on each occasion a change is made.

I have the di fillipo SS exhaust 3 inch from turbo back with a high flow cat and sounds mad! Performance wise from what I was told from simon and dave from nizpro itsa very good exhaust! I wouldn't put the exhaust if I wasn't going to edit The NUT!

I remember reading about it in autospeed, It had the ability to be live tuned but a hole had to be drilled in the PCM case, try explaning that one to ford service

you will see very little if any advantage from any single 3 inch exhaust, 3.5 inch or dual 2.5 inch is what mst are running at least in aftermarket exhausts with full system replacements as far as I know, depending on how much power you are chasing. id say if you were looking at 350rwkw or more you would proably need to go larger

thanks

Just on the exhaust side of things...

A Nizpro customer who has a BA Typhoon made 418rwkw last Saturday with a complete FACTORY exhaust, stock cat and dump pipe... He has Nizpro Stage 2 fitted...
