Fantastic cruise had heaps of fun, weather was a bit lousy but Kev’s whinging over the radio was entertaining, as was his fuel consumption..lol…

It was the 1st time I had been though the Yarra Valley ranges very nice scenery and a great place for a drive.

Good to see 28 cars make the run, the guy who owns Marysville bakery is still smiling, considering he feed 50 plus people done a good job, nice vanilla slice too..

1st time my F6 done a little bit of work around the mountains the 6 speed auto works a absolute treat, it seemed to pick a gear for cruising around the bends and stuck with it, it didn’t go up and through the gears, and the down shift braking in the box worked very will, most enjoyable to drive around the mountains, not just in a straight line, also being lighter over the front than my previous V8 would have helped the experience.

Big thanks to Rob and Gary for a well organised and the best cruise I have been on in a long time.

Nice to meet some people from here.

I have about 40 photos can be viewed here; most pics were taken from inside the car.

ps: the old Expensive Daewoo Ute had some rust covered up with stickers it was a pic for a laugh, poor dog in the back was soaked, this Ute wasn't in our cruise.

Thanks to to Gary and Rob for organising it.

Best turnout for one of these I have been to - sorry we couldn't stay for the photos at Lake Mountain - would have been great if we had the additional 6 or 8 who turned back after lunch.

I would also like to say GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!

cheers,

Ben.

Like to thank everyone who made the effort attending the cruise yesterday despite the miserable cold and wet weather. Some members came all the way from Geelong to join us and a big thankyou for doing so. Craig (Geea) was playing funny buggers as he does ... trying to get me do the 'Indian File' move again. :spoton: You all know what happened the last time I did that! ... well most of you anyway :spoton: Thanks to Brian (BCL) for joining us on the way while traveling back to NSW and also Simon from Nizpro who attended with his Turbo Fairmont which was pumping out 340rwkw's at the wheels.

Gary as always, did a great job with assisting the organization of the cruise ... thanks mate.

Stay posted for details on cruise No. 3

Regards,

Rob...

Thanks to Gary. Very well organised cruise. I used AU$110 of fuel (Ultimate) on the day (Sunday) but regarless it was worth it and will atent other Vic cruise. Polished my wheels on sat they were filthy by the time we got there so hoping weather will be better next time. What did other guys use in fuel?

Thanks again, much apreciated.

PS Maybe no dirt roads next time? :P

Well Ladies and Gents the cruise again was well organised .

Good onya boys as far as I know there were no accidents or bad behaviour so none of us will be going to jail LOL.

Now for the bad news, Got a phone call from FordT6 saying he had stonechips on his car from the cruise, now knowing how anal about the car he is I thought maybe he egzagerating (however u spell it) a little so I went and checked my car, lets just say at least 10 chips only small ones but, they are there.note I am a little anal about my car too.

So if your anal like us (don`t get excited guys) you might want to check your bumper and bonnet for damage.Hope you have better luck than we did.

P.s

Can we leave the pot holes out of the next cruise I nearly fell in one lol.

Seriously though maybe we should try a little more local where the roads are better maintained.

Also as much fun as it is driving our cars not many people stayed for coffee etc

Would it be worth organising something like a dinner or theatre restaraunt as part of a cruise.

One more thing, how hard would it be to organise a track day like at sandown or something where we can drive round the track, maybe some of the other car clubs might be intrested.
