snail Member 83 Member For: 19y 10m 25d Location: Perth WA Posted 28/04/06 12:51 PM Share Posted 28/04/06 12:51 PM I never thought I'd say this but I do not enjoy the sight of a split skirt! What I am refering to is the annoying habit of my leather skirt thingy that surrounds my gearstick continually splitting. It seems always to split on the console side not the seat side - if that makes sense.Has anyone else had this pain in the skirt - and can anyone come up with a solution? My lovely XR6T is only 18 months old and I have had to get Ford to replace it 3 times! Frustrating to say the least!Appreciate your assistance.Snail Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/25050-manual-gear-skirt/ Share on other sites

They did this for me the first time. They will need to get you the 6 speed ring to match the smaller diameter boot (the ring will be in the 6 speed knob package). They should also replace your gear knob. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/25050-manual-gear-skirt/#findComment-375752 Share on other sites
