I did a BF XR6T auto today for APC in Myaree, It was for an Older Gent who didnt want to increase boost past 8 psi at any point in the rev range.

Car had an APC dump, cat and twin 2.5 inch exhaust, F6 CAI and a K&N filter. It made 226 rwkw's before tune and was running 6 psi boost..

Running only 8 PSI was a weird request but one I did anyways. Was able to hold 8 psi from begining to 4500 rpm and then it went down to 6.5 all the way through to 6000 rpm... WOuld have been nice to be able to crank it up a little more but under request this was the max power asked for so I kept to that.

Attached graph.

nice mate! getting some good results bro! keep it up. Off topic, how's my tune coming along mate?? I imagine you've put it to the side for the time being? considering my car is off the road :pooh: I'll be getting the car back in about 2 to 3 weeks, so if you have it ready for then that would be magical! :spoton:

That a nice graph Simon, if I decide to go down the edit path I'll be doing a similar thing and getting a conservative tune with the aim of looking after the drive train.

I recon that even with 8PSI the car still makes very good power. 246rwkw is nothing to laugh about and the improvement in torque is there too.

Simon said that the other 6 speed auto he tuned only has about 260rwkw and that has run a few 12.6's. I assume this car with 246rwkw should still be good for a very high 12 second pass??

I personally like that graph better than most tunes I see going around today.

You seriously know how to produce damn sexy results man, seriously...

A flat torque curve has a certain feel to it that nothing else can give you...

If it were my car (and I wish it were =/ ), I would get injectors and a big intercooler done as well. With that sorted I would ask for 10 PSI untill about 5250rpm... Starting at 2000rpm (meh, why not with a bit of cam tickling?)

Basically the same curve you see there, but starts earlier, stays higher all the way, but that flat torque line keeps on going without dropping off untill after 5500rpm... I'd also have the limiter at 6500 :).

Gives the car that 'relentless acceleration' feel.

Nothing feels the same, nothing..... It should be illegal to have perfectly flat torque curves that cover more than 4000rpm, they are just too good.

yep, I can put my hand up and say from experience that Simons tunes are the bomb. Even in my car, which he has never seen, he's produced an awesome tune! And it'll get better once he finishes his tweaking. Great stuff Simon, keep up the good work!!

Thinking of buying an XR5, I might buy it from perth, and have it sent straight to you :spoton: then you can send it here! Speaking of which, when I finally get my phoon, I might do just that, sure it'll cost me money to freight, but hell, you can keep it for a week or so and wave your magic wand over it good and proper :spoton:

I agree about the flat torque curve lawsy!!

Nice result Simon! This should feel great on the road.
