(which I thought was weird since the Xr8 has 260.. (apparently different V8's..) ←Twin cam v. Quad cam, don't know what else is different though.... or I am full of sh1t.....←Fairmont V8's are Twin Cam(3V per pot I think 1 inlet 2 Exhuast))the XR8 and GT/GT-P are Quads cams(4V per pot)P.S. The V8 will smoke you noting beats cubic inches ←yeah nuthin cept forced induction...... ←The higher CC's for the most part the more Kw's available. Whilst he may have the bigger sized engine it won't count for when his engine is 10kw's - 20kw's less than the T, plus as a double wammy, the extra weight will probably hold him back... (From memory the Barra 230 V3 which is what I thought they put into GHIA's was actually a 230KW beast, not 220KW, although I may be wrong)I'd say he was just trying to talk himself up, and hoping that because he has more pots his is obviously better... " I don't know, I reckon you might win"..etc etc, slowly building his over confidence in his machine, cause now that you have challenged him he is already doubting his car. And just when he is feelin all competitive seize the moment by the balls and show him "who si da king baby!"

Just slip it into performance mode. (that's slide to the left without moving up or down)Now bring the rpm up (without moving off) to about 1800~2000 rpm. You'll really need to have the left foot on the brake pedal quite hard. When ready to go, just flatten the right foot, whilst releasing the left.Your mate will be wondering what the F%#k..... as you literally leave him in tyre smoke. Let the auto do the changes.. There is NO turbo lag with the auto when driven like this!erm.... bear in mind that doing these starts on a repetitive basis is not good for your vehicle's health. Now if you have a manual.......well, then you'll probably get beaten! tom
