Im havin probs with me brand new BF T with only 2100KMs on the clock. 1 month old so the other problems that ppl are having I want to know about as well and then hope that I dont ever get them.

If ppl want to put down the quality of our cars, they have every right to. Besides they bought them and own them and if stuffs not right with them, then speak up!

Ford have released an updated sub for the premium sound pack, I had one put in under waranty a couple of weeks back and it's heaps better than the old one. Go and see your dealer and you might have one less thing to post about.

Clicky steering rack has a TSB out for it. The rack bolts need some washers or spacers or something put into it. If they retighten the bolts ( As they come loose ) you have to pay for it. ( $$ ) If you ask for the TSB, it's warrenty. Go Figure..

That's interesting F6 UTE because I reckon that's what they actually did to my BF which had the clicking steering. I was reading in the Age today how a when a recall is not a recall. It's when it's a TSB or (I think) a dealer service bulletin.

Anyway, the article in the Age Wed 26 April said that,

"The Expensive Daewoo Late model camira has been recalled 20 times since 1997. In the sme period, the Ford Falcon has been recalled 8 times, Mitsubishi Magna 3 times and Toyota Camry 2 times.

Expensive Daewoo tops the recall list in raw numbers with 51 recalls since 1997, an average of 3.5 recalls for every 100,000 cars sold. Ford has issued 37 recalls, an average of just over 3 recalls for every 100,000 cars sold. Mitsubishi had 28 recalls, an average of nearly 6 recalls per 100,000 cars sold. Toyota is the benchmark with 25 recalls with an average of less than 2 recalls per 100,000 cars sold."

The article suggests checking fro recalls at:

After working on the cars for 26 years as a mechanic I can tell you THAT THERE IS NOT ONE BRAND OUT THERE THAT DOES NOT HAVE PROBLEMS.

That is all cars no matter what price you pay from 15,000 to over 1 million dollars have problems.

It may look like fords and holdens have lots of problems but when you look at the volume of cars sold in australia they will come up more.

I can tell you now there are alot more toyota's having faults now because they are selling more does this mean they are not built as good now.

I do not think so it is just that the more you sell the more faults you will see.

Our car only went back to the dealer twice for bonnet cable and idle when new.

The car is out of warranty and I think it is one of the better cars on the market for the price and size.

IF the car you drive is full of faults well either talk to your dealer about it.

When I say talk I mean talk nicely because I can tell from a biusness owners side that ranting and raving and calling people names will not get you anywhere.

If you still do not like your car sell it. And than get a different make with different problems.

oh goldie... I dont think anyone is saying that a car can be built fault free.... but when the fault develops it should be fixed. it is that simple.

If you buy a breadmaker it it doesnt work properly, you take it back to the store for either for it to get repaired or replaced right? Tehy dont tell you the breadmaker is meant to do that or its within factory specs.... os sorry sir we will have to wait until there is a TSB fot that. It should be same the same for ANY purchase.

All people are asking for is that the problems get fixed under warranty, and sometimes they dont. These people are voacal about it, and rightly so :censored:

NOone is expecting a fault free production line, they are expecting after sales service in regards to warranty, some dont get... its not that difficult to understand :msm:

Its funny the complainers never seem to be able to get their cars fixed under warranty. Those who do not do a lot of complaining do not seem to have these same problems. And some of us have had most of the known problems, with their cars, successfully repaired under warranty. I wonder if attitudes have a lot to do with some peoples issues.
