as a booming market, generally provides better pay

Hahahaha...only if you're income contains an 'at risk' component.

Some oil company CEO in the states retired recently (his name escapes me for now), and his total remuneration including retirement benefits worked out at about $110,000USD ..........................................

......................................................................... FOR EVERY DAY WORKED :spoton:

Time to move to Venezuela I think.... :spoton:

It's from CNN but I'm not sure how accurate it is when you look at Australia.....

Propaganda on CNN never! :spoton:

Gas prices around the world

Think you pay a lot for gas? Perhaps you'd prefer to live in Venezuela.

Gasoline prices in the United States, which have recently hit record highs, are actually much lower than in many countries. A few countries, like Venezuela have prices that are far lower.

Gas pains The main driver of price disparities between countries is government policy, according to AirInc, a company that tracks the cost of living in various places around the world. Many European nations tax gasoline heavily, with taxes making up as much as 75 percent of the cost of a gallon of gasoline, said a spokesperson for AirInc.

In Venezuela, on the other hand, oil is produced by a government-owned company and local gasoline prices are kept low as a benefit to the nation's citizens, he said. All prices updated May, 2004.

Well if the rest of it IS accurate you can see where we sit in the scheme of things.

That doesnt make sense though, if it were in USD then our petrol would be around the $4 mark :msm:

I dont know what these prices are meant to be but I just spoke to a friend of mine who was working in Denmark... He was paying 7.48 DKK per litre which is $1.68 AUD (for 95ron).. far from the $5.08 they claim in the table :msm:

This price is from a year ago.
