cmon tell us the 'secret of whine removal'

the secret is a little black box that plugs into the aux input. you then plug in your xbox/ipod or whatever into it and it gives you a whine free aux input. The box cost me $90. PM me if you want the details on where to get one :spoton:

What did you use to connect the XBOX to the ICC??

I made up a lead for the xbox by chopping up a RGB xbox lead and a 5M VGA monitor cable, then added a sat nav plug onto the end of the VGA cable. Soldered it all together, patched out the audio to to the nowhine audio box and then spent a couple of hours hiding all the cables in the car :msm:

I also run a pure signwave inverter mounted under the spare tyre to power the xbox. Originally I also had a WiFi client in the car so I could transfer files to my car without having to pull the xbox out but the signal is too weak when the boot is closed so I canned that idea.

What did the exhast end up setting you back?

Its a very long story but the total $'s spent on the exhaust was $0. I was however without my car for just on 4 weeks (lets just say that I don't like magna drivers who don't give way to ambulances going through intersections). I was told a figure of $1800 but have no idea on weather or not this included fitting or if it was just the straight RRP of the system?? I do know that dynowog can get the systems for a good price so maybe send him a PM :msm:

hows the edit and the mods?? go alot harder??

Im not too keen on posting how much power she is making now but I can say that the car has the perfect amount of power for me and my driving style. One of the best things about the wog edit is the car is now more drivable around the city than the factory tune and gives me the ability to strengthen my passengers neck muscles when ever I feel like sticking my foot down a little :msm:

The down side to the wog tune is that I cant use full throttle in first (too much wheel spin to keep the car in a straight line). and in the wet, well lets just say that I thank the car gods for giving us traction control :msm:

Bottom line is that I would recommend that anyone who is thinking about getting there car edited should just go out and DO IT (with a custom tune of course :gooff: )

ASL Logistics do a XBOX to ICC cable including inverter. Did you consider using that at all?? Or was there something that turned you off about it?

only the price :fool:

$160 for a cable that forces you to mount the xbox under the passenger seat (it would have been extra to get it to the boot like I wanted) and then they give you a modified square wave inverter. I did try one of those first because they are less than 1/3 the price of the proper inverter but I really didn't like the horrible squeal that my xbox was making when I had it running off the cheap inverter :buttonit: (although technically it did work)

The cable cost me $90 to produce and $180 for the inverter. But at least im using the best parts for the job and will not have any hassles with the xbox possably blowing up in 6 months from using a dodgy inverter.

The subs look neat, is it a box or is it open to the seats? I'm interested in the dimensions as I wish to mount two subs in the same place, any chance of some drawings or pics of the installation process?

that's kool, was just asking the question as I have seen they make them. Want to do the same thing myself and am looking at what options are available as I dont have a technical knowledge that extends into that area to complete it myself :msm:

I didn't take any photos of the sub box as it was being made but I should still have the original design specs at work (if I didnt throw it out when I cleaned my desk before easter :msm: )

from the top of my head I can remember that the box was around 1000wide??? x 300high x 420deep with an angled back for the amp to sit nicely behind the rear seat.

Ill confirm the mesurements if I can when I get to work tomorrow :fool:

Sweet, thanks heaps :fool:

I messed around with designs and shapes but couldnt get it to go... mind you I was planning on 2x12" subs so the angle would be greater.

If u have the design drawn that would be tops :msm:
