My car was running crap from another Sydney tuner and Jim fixed up all my issues. I'm still running 10psi, making 273RWKW and a nice 45RWKW gain down low, my fuel economy has improved and I could not be happier, we might push a few pounds of boost and get it to 300RWKW as I want that magic number

I dont think this is such a great result.I'm sure the car is great to drive but I have seen this sort of figures from stock cars tuned by nizpro(manual 271rwkw-auto255rwkw)with edit only.you have all these other mods for 20kw?

for a auto this is a good result, the injectors in there are not the greatest I wish I had got bosch 968's but the truth is in the 1/4 mile which I will have to run, I have seen tunes from nizpro pushing 13psi to make ~ 290RWKW not sure if it was manual or auto, I’m happy with 10psi to make 273rwkw, I think if I ask for a more extreme tune 300RWKW would be quite easy on 13 psi but I will need to upgrade my valve springs. plus my intercooler is the wog cooler using standard plumbing, I don’t think its any better then the stock one as it most likely has the same pressure drop , but it looks good, these mods have not given me the power its the actual tune which has at some points given me 45RWKW more when needed.

My manual car made 294 rwkw on 9psi :pinch: just on 300rwkw with 12 psi.... mods... eugene injectors, 3.5" metal cat, xr8 cai, centre muff removed, wog cooler, k&n filter :pooh:

How did an extra 3 psi make just 6kw? Your 9psi tune wasn't runnin solean was it?

the 12 psi one made 304 rwkw, then 303.7 and then 302.7rwkw on back to back runs... both 9 and 12psi tunes are with AFR's of 12 neat :pooh:

The thing is Habbib that 115mph is around 280rwkw's. With the mods you have a Typhoon should have closer to 300rwkw's and be running 120mph. I know that Nizpro are getting around 290rwkw's on Typhoon's with edit only.

Safety 1st my car isn't tuned to run a number, 11.5 AFR's, 1910kg with driver.

no stall converter, no auto edit software, no fancy fuel systems or fuel swirl pods.

No weight reduction, I have seen some stripped out cars run good numbers I wouldn't be bothered... my car is tuned for the street the way its driven everyday is the way its driven on the track.

I run a full exhaust with a proper cat, my back seat is in place.... I see some good numbers every week; besides I am more than happy with the $3800 spend for a low 12.....

Who else has run a BF F6 6 speed auto?

Dyno are for tuning, run your car on the black top dyno get yourself a timeslip.

For the Guys who don't get down to a race track this you should know.

I spend 3 out 4 weeks at Calder Friday night’s people post times on forums but don’t tell the full story.

The things people don't here or see about cars at tracks.

No Exhausts or parts removed, no air belt, or pump, no power steering belt, drag Race car fuel systems, slicks and front runners, no back seats no front seats, smaller battery to save weight, even take the water out of the washer bottle,

remove impact bars from under the front and rear bar to save weight.

trailered to the track because there is a high chance of breaking something when the car is running on the edge for a number.

In short there race cars not daily drivers.

I have mates who scrutinize these cars some even get knocked back.

ahh silly me for posting the trurth and using a tuner who isnt the flavour of the month.

Habbib is spot on with what he says. However most of the XR6T's that I have seen run at Calder run full weight. The 3 cars that were there on Saturday night, (Dave, Laurie and Marcus) all had full exhaust, full interior and pump fuel. These car ran 10.8/11.3 and 12.6. My car ran it's best time with full interior, and full length exhaust. We all used Street rubber. I know when Adam's car ran the 9.9 it ran with less weight and used slicks.

Most of the Melbourne guys from here usually run with full interiors, full exhaust, Street rubber and pump fuel.

Habbibs right about the weight and limited launch capabilities of his car giving him a higher ET. Mind you a 12.3 is still a great time. The MPH however is still only 115mph which isn't alot for the mods on the car.

Habbib makes a good point.

I only ever run on street tyres because I want to know what my car runs on the street.

( I just need good street tyres now to get a new PB :censored: )

With a fuel swirl pod system what is the lowest amount of fuel you can run?

If the tuner has tuned your car to how you like it and it performs to your expectations than why wouldnt you be happy.

Most people on here know that x doesnt tune aggresively on cars,especially if the car hasnt got strenthened gearbox etc..

It seems to me that the tuners in Sydney are tuning the cars without pushing the limits down low while in mexico and Simon(WA)seem to know how to tune for more down low and how far to push the cars.my 2c worth.. :censored::spoton:

I'm able to run with as little as 5lt of fuel. Before I had the surge tank installed I had to run with 3/4 of a tank when I was going quicker than 11.4.

Habbib is a very big bloke and it's a credit to his driving skills that he's able to run the numbers he does with a standard stall. :censored:
