How come the refs just stand around and watch the fight until someone actually hits the ground? Nice vid anyway :spoton:

Refs used to try and regain controll.... But ended up on the ground...

Then, because some of these refs just had enough (and allot of them are not only ex hock players, but also boxers and footy players), they started to find more players being injured than before....

I've seen revs go harder than any of those fights.. Much harder.

I prefer it infact when the ref has had enough and gets in there, because they normally win and that is clearly more entertaining...

As soon as a fight starts the fighters receive a penalty... So stopping them straight away would be of no benefit anyway... The fights are what a lot people pay money for when going to a hockey game... in the hockey league some players are employed for pure skill... Others are employed for fighting ability...

some of the great players have body guards... If the great player gets hit the wrong way, the team will send out the body guard to take care of the person who hit the great player.... and on it goes.

fights are a part of hockey and that's why refs let it go... they could jump in but at what risk... better to let them fight and please the crowd :spoton:
