Hello every1

Well ive finally booked my car in to get the stage 1 cobra kit from nizpro, includes injectors, valve springs and custom tune :stirthepot: I cant wait!

ive got a few questions to ask so here goes..

What sort of power should I expect to get with the kit in rwkw?

I really wanna get a 2nd cold air intake.. but where would I buy say the typhoon cai or a SS inductions style?

Would I need to change my cat? ive got a BF with the ZF 6speed and from ive been told is that the BF's have a larger cat.. is this correct?

Regards

Mark

I've done what your about to do. To a BA though!

I was happy to do a second 2nd CAI they told me it wasn't necessary for the power I was looking for.

I agree with Savaged

Speak to Dave and Simon first!

Anywhere between 240-270rwkw.

Don't get too hung up on the peak power number, but rather focus on power delivery, especially mid range.

I was on the phone yesterday to dave and he told me that the 2nd cai was'nt really needed either, but I really wanna install 1 to future proof the car if I go for more mods in the future.. Im pretty sure that the BF cat does have better flow properties than the stock BA item.

Exactly bcl, im not after huge numbers, somewhere between 275 to 290rwkw ill be very happy.. what im looking for is explosive mid-range power, with good driveability.. Once the software to mod the ZF is released I will then get a retune to optimise the stall converter and shiftpoints.. I believe habib in sydney is doing this with his F6

I think you'll see 270 plus especially from a BF

I think 270 is more than achievable.

I got 270 on my mid-03 BA (series 1) with the exact same gear - Edit + injectors + springs.

You should get that peak figure quite easily. But as BCL said above, it's the area below the sqiggly line on the dyno sheet that matters (power over the entire rev range = drivability), not just how high it goes (peak kW).

Good luck, and be sure to let us know how it went. You won't go wrong with Nizpro.

Don't do anything stoopid until you're used to the power - I nearly looped it driving out of the front of Nizpro after the first edit. Yeah it was wet, but you know.. Ooops. :buttonit:
