Lets say I do modifications like IC and exhaust etc and I dont have the edit do I have to buy it and then get it tuned or can they tune the car if you just take it in to a tune shop?Nesh←I was talking to a tuner in mt isa of all places and he said there was a product out there called suit(sweet) something like that. by the sound of it it was just a plug and play and off u go no piggy back or flash box

I believe the company that owns it in the US has just merged or collaborated with SCT (who make our Ford Flashers for Capa) which means a VCM Suite will (or is?) available for Fords soon. (I'm happy to be corrected or enlightened)

You are essentialy changing exactly the same parameters, minus the little black box I.e: money maker.

You are essentialy changing exactly the same parameters, minus the little black box I.e: money maker.←That's the way I understand it too. Both systems change the same parameters, and a good tuner should get essentially the same result. The main difference will end up being ease of use for the tuner (ie no black box).Once the tune's uploaded, as an end user I'm not too worried with how it got there (VCM or CAPA) as long as I'm happy with the tune. What do people know about the Ford VCM? What are the differences with the 'tuning' aspect of VCM? It's straight from laptop to OBD port right? How does custom tuning with VCM work? Do you get a CD with the tunes you paid for (in lieu of a black box), then use your own software to upload the different tunes?
