M6 XR6T are the CATS still single entry with dual outlets in design like the BA's are they better the MetalCats ?

They are bigger volume, single entry and twin outlet. However, the twin outlets are not dual side exit as per the BA one, rather split to twin out the rear of the cat and merge nicely to the stock exhaust system. Better design=better flow characteristics.

Don't know how they'd compare to the Metal Cat units, but I'd imagine there wouldn't be a huge difference fitting a single Metal Cat over the stock BF cat.

Hey M6 XR6T, thanks for posting that info mate. Any other changes that you know about for the BFs? I read about the new cam profile, but I'm not sure if that was to develop more power, or just change idle characteristics.

:buttrock: Cheers Danno!

Habbib, no plans as yet, work makes it hard to find the time at the mo' (I work an 8 day rotation, days and nights - hard to explain). I've kept up with your efforts though, nice work indeeeed :msm: You're running injectors as well as Edit?

Well done Nizpro and SavageD.

You know its amazing to think that only less than a year ago a tuner was burned at the steak for producing numbers around this figure on standard injectors.

My how times change.

Well done. :buttrock:

253kw!?  :sus:

My stock BA was recently dynoed in shoot6 at 216rwkw.  Maybe I should go back to Ford and ask what gives.  :spoton:

The stock exhaust on the BF turbo's is very different to the BA's. The new cat design allows for much more flow than the BA's, hence the higher power potential of the BF's in stock trim. New cat design would probably outflow the BA unit by 30-40rwkw comfortably. The BA cat really is a shocker by design.

I doubt the 253rwkw on Nizpro's dyno is sus, they've had a couple read that kind of power output. Rather, it's not a Dyno Dynamics unit, so power reading are not comparable to what you're used to. The power gained is a minimum one would expect from a tune on the BF.

does the BF have different injectors?

Not to start anything, but aren’t the injectors at there limit around 250RWKW ? I understand there is better CAT and larger intercooler but this would not allow for such an increase, no long ago 290-300RWKW on stock injectors was blasphemy
