Im may be wrong but at $3000 for the rods and slugs wouldnt you be better off buying a short motor from atomic? dont they have theses for around $4000 or have I got my $'s mixed up?? Or did you go for the fat rods and super duper pistons?

cant wait to see how she goes now....new rods and pistons.....it'd be unaustralian to not turn up the boost .....

This would be true if I paid retail for my parts but it helps to know people who know people :slap:

I did look at the atomic bottom end but I am doing it myself.

Ian.

The atomic bottom end is $4450 for us on the forum.

No noises but I did put new valve springs in about 4 weeks ago.

Motor still runs but rough and oil going everywhere.

Ian

Im suprised it was running at all, considering you found some pieces of engine on the road!

Good to hear she's back on the road! :spoton:

Oh great! :tease:

... just what the Queenslander's want to see ... a big, boof-headed, ear-to-ear, Jethro grin in their rear vision mirrors. :tease:

I guess they had a break for a short while at least. :spoton:

I think I was supposed to be there for backup but I spoke to Daz and all was cool for the wedding.... Just going to cost me a run for the bride and and groom in a 6 cylinder Falcon not the 5 cylinder version Ian took there....

Ian,

Glad to hear your back on the road mate and will call into your shop in the next few days to hand you the apology I owe you........
