I will post some more pics up later no 2 rod broken in 2 block has hole in the side,no 2 piston has a crack though it.

No 1 and 3 conrods bent.

what happened just before this all went to poo mate? Its kinda weird how its all bend and broken like this, like it hydrauliced or something??????

Nothing unusaul just criused up the hwy picked up the groom and best man drove down the road slowed down for round about and bang.

that has got me baffled. :laughing: damn... Oh well excuse to get more power :innocent:

A mates did the same thing about 18 months ago slowing down for lights.

It spat no 4 out the side.

I know this is a bit off the subject of this thread but Ian where did you fit the centre front speaker for your 5.1 sound n how does it image for music great for dvd's I would imagine.

It is mounted under the front screen which is in the tissue box area.

117,000 km's on the motor.

The sad part was I was only doing 30 kph when it happened. :sus:

The audio on Goldie is outstanding..... and costly :kissmy:

Sorry to hear it mate; on toward bigger and better.

To me, something went wrong the last time you gave it the berries. Possibly the rod was fractured or a bearing got a tiny bit of grit in it, or something that is fairly freakish....

Then, while under engine breaking, there was just the right pressure, at the right frequency to make it give up...

Remember, you hit the resonant frequency of a crack (yes, you can do this, the area along the crack itself has resonance) and that's it... gone.

On another subject Goldie, What valve springs have you put in now as I think mine are holding me back with power.

Good luck with the engine build and go all out.
