Bought a NA BA XR6 new sep 03. Paid $42,000 for it (tint, premiun sound, power pedals paint protection 6 stack CD etc etc etc). Put a totally enjoyable 83,500ks on it since then, regularly serviced by one dealer. Car in excellent condition considering the country Ks (few stonechips on bonnet). Lovingly looked after. Went for trade-in on F6 and was offered $17,000 WTF :spoton: Obviously you dont want my money Mr Ford.... :cussing:

Sorry Bro but that sounds about right. :spoton:

I look into trading my car in on a F6 about 6 months ago and got offered $20,000 for mine. My car Dec 03, Premiun Sound, Factory Sat Nav, Tint, Lowered, 35,000kms and serviced regulary.

Take SCOTTY'S advice you should look at drive away price not what you get for your car.

If you want to get a good deal you will have to sell privately.  The worst price u will get is on a trade-in.  Not sure why youre angry at the dealer, they are merely responding to market forces old chap.

I can understand your annoyance but the market determines the price of stuff.

Yep you're right. I was still sething but now that I've had a Bex and a lie down, I realise I was only venting. Redbook is between 17-19,000, so it looks like a private sale. Sorry for sounding like a spoilt brat but I expected a little more for such a good make of car :P:P

Just be glad its not an 03 HSV :kissmy: their prices are in free fall at the moment :stirthepot:
