with most recent tune of 273rwkw

60'     2.152

660'   8.405

ET    12.833

MPH 111.48

will post the slips tomorrow.

The time and mph aren't too bad. I'd think that 273rwkw's should be making 114-115mph though.

If you can get your 60' down below 2.0 you'll be running 12.5's.

As long as your having fun it's all good.

Geea. :spoton:

I'VE noticed with extreme f6 sig has 400rwkw's & ran 114mph and here you say for the same mph you need only 273rwks..how's that work?

Because a manual Typhoon has different gearing and I takes more power to to run quick times.

With 260rwkw's I've managed a best of 113.38MPH in my ute on Dunlop SP3000A's. However my quickest ET of 12.89 was ran on 110.27MPH.

but time and time again the argument on here has always been "the true indication of horsepower is mph", so gearing can't possibly have that much of a bearing when where talking 100 rwk's.

cheers andrew

The auto XR6T's have 1000's of runs and with all these runs we're able to gauge what sort of power will generate waht sort of MPH. The manuals haven't had naywhere near the same amount of runs and there haven't really been any sort of bench marks for mph/rwkw's. This no doubt will change soon as more and more manuals run.

Hey fill ... Well done. 12.8s is a good time. Was your car was at Tunehouse a couple of weeks ago?

Fr33dy's car just got the edit tuned by Jim and he also got 273 rwkw with 10 psi on a "conservative" tune!! Fr33dy seems happy with it and says that is seems to be more economical.

Why dont you get Jim to tune it and do the work? I ran 12.5sec, 2.1 60ft, 116 mph with standard intercooler, exhaust, injectors & standard dunlops, 305 rwkw ...

My car will be out to WSID again soon with a rebuilt auto and some other mods ! ... I am going to store an axle/CV in the boot this time!

11s here we come ...

Hey Uwish,

Nice to meet you and your brother. I must say between the two of you, you have some damn nice cars. Great to see someone spend a 1/4 million on a car and actually take it to the strip. Your WRX is crazy as well and it will be good to see you crack that 11. Be sure to give me a shout when you head out to WSID!

I was pretty happy with my times, but you know what it's like, its never good enough!! I am now playing the same game as you.... 11.--- seconds

I have to say its great to see people out at the strip getting their moneys worth out of the cars

jp300+,

That was my car at Tunehouse. I had it in for a service as they are a few blocks down from my house. They also fitted my IC. Glad to hear you and Freddy are happy with there work.

What work have you done to the auto and where at?

Be sure to let me know when your going out to WSID.

cheers

Fill,

You would have seen my car in at Jim's ... The white one!

The car has been in hibernation for the Summer ... I stick to the watersports, boating etc. in the warmer months. The weather is cold and I get that itch again for more power ...

The current mods are ... XR6T with Haltech Inteceptor, AVO Intercooler, Injectors, Exhaust, GFB BOV, std auto + Stally, street tyres & a mad tune from Tunehouse !! that's it !! ... 12.2sec, 2.1 sec 60ft, 116mph (+ 1 new axle!) ...

Now ..... plus, Edit (yes with the Haltech), bottom end rebuild (just running it in), Turbo (custom, Jim's specs). Currently running 260rwkw detuned at 6psi.

Over the next month .... Rebuild Auto (billet internals, built to Jim's specs), Fuel pump, proper CAI, Edit tweak, + + + + .... where does it end?

It's all good!

Mate, it doesn't look like it ever ends!!

that's a good time you ran with the mods. What level of boost were you running and what stall? What kind of power did you have?

If Jim can start reproducing those kind of times/tunes on more T's, I reckon he could start getting a lot of business in Sydney:spoton: His prices are pretty competitive as well.

Let me know when your car is up and running as I would love to see how she goes!
