Maybe we could get "forum cardigans" made up... in grey of course.

Then everyone can easily be identified as being part of

Ken's Twilight Cruises

:spit::tease:

PS: Bowlers hat is optional.

I like where you are comming from, why stick with just matching cardigans. May I suggest A whole ensumble designed by Ken. Then paraded just like in the games outfits. I am sure there are some budding models within the forum.

Also the banter over the airwaves needs to be kept to a minimum "through the twisty bits". We had an instance recently up here where we were trying to call back debris on the road but couldn't get through as someone found it more appropriate to talk about biting heads off snakes or something.

Conditions permitting though this banter is one of the things that makes a good cruise

From personal cruise experience, I have the following "suggestions" for anyone wishing to attend a NSW FordXR6Turbo cruise. I will add to this list as the need arises.

1. Turn up to the meeting point with time to spare.

* Allow yourself enough time to get to the meeting point, chat with friends, fill up your petrol, buy supplies for the cruise, etc.

* We won't hold up the cruise for individuals. You will have to catch up to the pack.

2. Turn up to the meeting point with a full tank of petrol.

* If you have particular fuel requirements, e.g. Manufacturer, Octane, etc. because of fuel cards, lease requirements, etc. it is your responsibility to be aware of suitable re-fueling locations throughout the cruise.

* We won't hold up the cruise for individuals. You will have to catch up to the pack.

3. Get yourself a CB.

* Without one, you'll be driving "blind" and if you get separated from the pack, you'll have to find you own way back.

* Be aware that anything said on a CB is said in a "Public Forum", e.g. you can be heard by the general public. Be considerate of your fellow cruises (and their children) with your choice of subject and language.  :msm:

* CB chatter is encouraged, but there may be times when it is inappropriate, e.g. when road conditions need to be relayed to the pack. Please follow the Cruise Controller's lead on this.

4. Drive (whilst on a cruise) with your headlights on normal low-beam.

* Fogs lights are a personal choice, but remember they are illegal in most situations.

Hi Ken,

Good set of rules! :pinch:

BF's should be up front followed by BA Mk II and you get the rest.

With the XR6 N/A's at the back or will yours be the XR6 with the T badge's and no Intercooler :spoton::crybaby:

Criuse Idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

User friendly for Sydney siders!!!!!!!!!!!!

My idea????

Well I was thinking about a Wollongong maquarie pass kangaroo valley Geringong criuse..

My plan.

All to meet at Wollongong in Stuart park in the morning say 9am to 10am from there get onto the Princes highway and take the right off the highway to drive up mount Kiera Rd. Really nice bit of road and a fantastic look out up top. There is also a Cafe up top so we can stop and have a bit of a chat..

From here continue to travel south on the road (cant find my gong street directory) that runs towards unanderra nice and twisty and aslo a good view. This road ends on the Princes Hwy (using Chickos takeaway as a point of reference).

Now there are three options from here.. We can continue to head south along the highway or the freeway or we can drive out past the steel works and follow the road down to warilla then onto New lakes entrance road.

Ok now we follow this road into albion park and then get onto illawarra highway (if that is infact the name of the road to maquarie pass) Now maquarie pass is beaut and I think it will be the highlight of the cruise.

From the pass its up to robertson.. Pie shop I hear you say???? stop for a bit get a bit of water into you and a bit of water out of you and have lunch..

Now if we are all happy we head off with kangaroo valley in our sights. So we can either stop in the valley or keep on going to nowra (Seventytwo might know a good place to stop round here)

So once through nowra and the like we drive out towards Gerroa and Gerringong (good pie shop in Gerringong) From here we start to head back to Wollongong and back to stuart park where we can all say out good byes.

Good idea????? sorry bout the lack of road names. As you can see I clearly have got nothing. Slymeat might be able to assist. I realise that there is a bit happening with a Bathurst and Snowy mountain cruise so it might be better to have this one in the new year some time and hopefully Goobz (chris) will have a car by then :msm:

This (when reading it) sounds like a long cruise so its not gonna be user friendly in the kiddies.

Now for Cro's approval and if he likes can he please wack it in the cruise section under its own thread. :howbig:

My work here is done

Rob :spoton:

Mt Kembla Road coming back towards Unanderra.

It is best to go down the highway, Warilla is a terrible area, also has the as you turn onto the Princes Highway at the bottom of Mount Keitra road, this actually just misses Chickos though, then turn onto Five Islands road and then onto the F6 keep going and take the croome rd exit ( the big roundabout ) up to the Illawarra hwy and up the pass. The trip back is all down the Princes hwy. I hope the street names help, up the top of Robertson I am not sure of the names.
