hi guys, I was thinking of installing a 2nd CAI under the headlight as some of you have, however I still have factory warranty till july this year, and then I have 3 mnths dealers warranty after that. will this void it?

also I am going to install some gauges and wanted to know if that will void warranty. cheers

you really need to ask your service manager that question as anything said on here is only somebodys opinion. Your service manager will tell you straight out yes or no.

but if an opinion is all your after, I'd say they will still give you warranty as long as you dont do something major like throw a rod etc. then you would be left out in the cold IMHO.

My OPINION would be that how could they deny warranty, when it's actually a genuine ford product.... ????

it would be hard (in my opinion) for a Ford Dealer to say, no, we wont cover that.....

I got talking to my dealer and it seems a lot of the staff do that to their cars..... a couple of the service centre guys I spoke to, installed the 2nd CAI on their Territories !!!

I'd suggest you go and have a chat to your local dealer ( especially the parts dept...) and see what they say in casual conversation about the second intake...... you may be surprised.....

My 2.2c worth:

Talk to the service department. Usually you will find the head guy is into modifications etc (my dealer is an agent for Herrods). They know what they will allow and what they won't. Have a look at my mods - all done with dealer approval (most done by the dealer) and I got the dealer to tell the insurer which also made the jod easier. :spoton::gooff:
