If all you want is noise then I'd stick a filter on the turbo and all you've spent is maybe 20 bucks. A full legal intake with enclosed pod doesn't have to be expensive. Almost any exhaust shp could make you a pipe to match your intake. couldn't possibly cost much

Talking about the blow off whoosh/flutter, as he was after a quiet set up.

Tobey Awesome... Member 407 Member For: 14y 6m 22d Gender: Male Posted 20/04/11 05:50 AM Share Posted 20/04/11 05:50 AM (edited) So why do you have one? Thirdly there is some thought that a small increase in fuel economy is gained, as the BOV is opened while in cruise driving as the manifold vacuum is holding it opened the turbo doesn't have to push itself against the small amount of positive pressure it could be making, thus allow the turbine wheel to spin more freely and this then lowers back pressure.I know this is a bit of a thread mine, but a question. It quite clearly states here, that while in cruise driving and in vacuum, the BOV is being held open. Then it was asked:Ok I've been reading and am confused about a few things.Firstly, it was said that at cruise the BOV is held open therefore bypassing the turbo, if you had a BOV like the TS dual port, would it suck in unfiltered air? Or is the TS BOV designed in such a way that it does perform the same way as the stock setup.CheersCameronWTF?? How would that happen??And bovs don't suck in air, that's what turbos are for. Only negative of a bov is the noise.Cameron,There are many people that wear slip on shoes.... because they are too fuggin stupid to tie their own shoe laces. And as they then have a little spare time on their hands, they make uneducated comments about shiite that they know little or nothing about. BOV is not open at cruise, it is closed. So you are saying Simon from Nizpro is wrong and fugging stupid? Just like to really know what the truth is, whether the BOV really is open at cruise... riptide Member 733 Member For: 14y 8d Gender: Male Location: Auckland, New Zealand Posted 15/06/11 08:28 AM Share Posted 15/06/11 08:28 AM I was wondering that too.I am also wondering what the long drawn out dunny flush air noise is when on mild boost. I have a pod next to the turbo and the standard BOV is vented to atmo with no filter. My tuner tells me it can be better to have a BOV so the hoses don't blow off when the butterfly closes suddenly when on hard boost.

Dumb and dumber anyone?
