My car has components added so I cant run a factory tune, but I simply told them not to flash it... obviously they know about the mods.. so it might be a different situation. I'm sure you can request not to have it flashed though. It may arouse their suspicions though, so I guess the choice is yours. I have a standard XR6T and it has been running great. It was fisrt suggested to me by ford when I told them I thought the car was using too much fuel. Since then my fuel consumption improved on its own.When I took the car to ford for a 30K service I expressed my concerns with tuning and they simply said the choice was mine. So I said no.On top of this, the dealer told me that highway patrol took theirs there and had it done and came back a week or two later saying they had lost performance.
