witney Member 7 Member For: 18y 7m 27d Posted 24/06/06 06:11 AM Share Posted 24/06/06 06:11 AM Ive got the same problem on my stock xr6t manual (BA) just sitting on 110 feels like its going to cut out drops about 200rpm then goes back upto 110 got me confused im running Boost 98 fuel (10%) ethanol becuase its only $1.32 a litre and BP ultimate is way to expensive as im going through 2 tanks a week + I find the car is running alot quieter and using a bit less fuel. Im waiting for APS Edit to become avaliable any ideas when this will be??. I thought of putting it on a dyno just to try and see if the problem is evident on that any ideas? I think you will be waiting for a long time... and honestly I dont think you have the time to wait... unless you plan on driving your car in your wooden box

I still have this problem, however, I dont lose any revs.. it just hesitates slightly. Deek, had a similar problem, and it was diagnosed as the fuel regulator.. so I might look into this too... its not too much of a problem.. not considering my other problems at the moment

Step on the gas and it's fine. It seems to be because with the edit the initial boost is quite high then backs off 4 or 5 psi, so it feels like it's backing off and engine braking but it's only dropping the power back off.Put the foot down a bit harder anf you'll feel the exact throttle setting it does this on. Then just keep away from that throttle point.

It doesn't feel like a major problem, and I only really notice now when I want too, or when I try and make it happen. It doesn't happen on boost... it always happens just prior to coming onto boost. And always at part throttle... as has been said, if I stomp on the pedal, all I feel is the car try and take off

It does not feel steady...It's as if the closed loop control has too much overshoot.... The engine continuously trying to find the steady state settings. It is very subtle, but noticeable.... disappears as soon as I shift to 4th.I'll be asking Rob at BVWE2 if he knows what it might be, but it has NOT been an issue of concern for me.I might add, this might be the scenario where live tuning whilst driving on the road can be of benefit over the current EDIT system. A point for the ol' Unichip fans tom

A point for the ol' Unichip fans tom←hey mate, did you ever end up finding out what the go was with the car?? I didn't notice it for ages, but lately its more noticeable in 3rd gear. On part throttle accelerating slowly towards 70km/h, I notice while watching the vac/boost gauge that the needle goes towards 10 or a little over on the vac gauge, but then when the hesitation happens it drops slightly.. could be a slight air leak somewhere?? Has anyone figured out for sure what the cause is?? it could also be related to my slight surge hesitation in 4th when the car is slowing by itself from 80km/h... its not really too much of an issue for me, but it would still be nice to get to the bottom of it..
