I get exactly the same dip in torque at 2500-2700rpm I was thinking its a fuel issue. (but of course, mine is carbie)

just if that can help anything

It can also occur when on cruise control and going up a gradual incline, where you will feel a surge-retard-surge sensation. Certainly a pain in the bum on a long trip! As far as the eletrics are concerned, operating the electric windows causes lights to dim and idle speed to drop, but I don't know if that's related to anything here. The problem isn't related to driveline lash as the auto's do it too. I doubt also that it's related to a loose fitting as there are too many cars with the same problem.

buggered if I know :spoton: its really only in 3rd gear these days.. sorta just feels like its being held back.. as you said, surge-retard-surge, that's prob the best way to describe it.. but only when at part throttle. I could understand it doing it if I give it WOT and I am having fuel issues, but not at slight increase of acceleration up to 70 clicks in 3rd..

Yeah, it's a strange one. I don't think it is tuner related as it seems to be occurring with a number of different tuners. Perhaps it's an undocumented feature of Edit, or a no cost option from the factory....

yeah, I can't say if I had this issue before the mods because I had a different driving technique. I used to shift gears at about 2200rpm, but since the mods and the increase in torque, I try to get the revs a little higher to limit any labouring of the motor.

Its really only present when approaching 2700-3000rpm... It could be edit related, I dunno... It would be interesting to see if any stock cars have this issue. Then again, I think it was deek who said it was his fuel regulator causing his issue, so perhaps the standard fuel regs aren't working properly in conjunction with edit and part throttle?? I really don't know, just throwing ideas around.

I have this problem in a BA XR6T Auto. I have had the Throttle light come on once. Restarted all good. My problem with the hesitation is intermittent and is more often there when on small throttle % at about 60km and when weather is cooler.

When it develops the flaring if I step on it it dissappears.

Did have DTC codes P1131 & P1132 (HO2S11 switches) cleared these and drove car but problem still there and the DTCs are all clear now.

Has anyone been able to put a finger on the problem?? It is really frustating when it does it.

Thanks for your help
