How can an 11sec swift beat a 320rwkw man XR6T on a rolling start? :sleepystuff:  :stirthepot:

Geea.

quite esaily.

Why the hell do you rev the car so much???? I'm sitting here just shaking my head.................

Check out my 'how to drive' thread.

Spend less time in the red zone, and more time in the go zone.

Are you in Perth???? Perth street Cars.net , and you work wednesdays..

Problem is, you say Nizpro kit, The only Authorised Nizpro dealer in WAWA in Hyperdrive in Malaga. ( According to their site ) Is it an Xtreme kit, he should slap you..

I give a 10 second BIKE a run from 100k's and I'm ova his asssss.

Back to driving school 4 u.

No I live on the goldcoast, Dave from nizpro flew up and did the work as I was using their parts etc. As for time in the red zone.. what RPM you recommend? My car is still making power and the limiter is only at 6200 and I never hit the limiter in the runs. I guess my driving style is a throw back to my Cefiro which was making 500rwhp and would happily make power until 8500 limiter.

As for more info that swift is making around 250hp @ front wheels and weights 700kg.. I think most XR's would have trouble against that.

When you figure out how to compensate for 1ton differance I'll be happy to hear :)

Also its hotperthcars.net not perthstreetcars and I'm a former west aussie now a qlder :P

if your power figures are correct... an 11 sec swift should not be spanking you on a rolling start.... I can see a few possibilities.

-your power readings are not correct

-your clutch is not holding the power (what clutch do you have??)

-you revving past peak power band

- or you suck at driving :sleepystuff:

1) possible havent run it on a dyno since the mods done

2)Malwood autos option 4

3)possible since I'm new to XR's and used to big HP import engines

4)everyone seem quick to act like they are brilliant behind the wheel which is fine. I am yet to actually take the car out racing alot, or learn it's habits. I live 10mins from work and don't have the time to regularly go to the track. If I need practise so be it.

LOL... point 4 was obviously just tongue in cheek... was not referring to you needing practice :tease:

and with option 4 for a clutch you can discount that option as well

I'd say that your car isn't making the power. Being high in the revs shouldn't slow it down much if at all and it's not hard to put your foot to the floor and change once or twice. I think if you dyno it you'll have well under 300rwkw's.

Geea. :tease:

Looks like car is off to FIST at some stage for a power run and a look at the tune. If that is the case..I won't be to happy a camper. Also thanks for a helpful reply in regards to this :)

This is all assuming the Swift is really an 11second car and if so, was running in 11second trim during this race.

The swift is in contention for quickest FWD in Aus and is built by a former record holder for FWD cars in Aus. The car is no slouch by anymeans
