I'm not an expert, but have managed 12.80 @ 116mph from under 300rwkw in a T56 with Dunlops undrneath 2 tonnes of ute....nothing I don't think anyone else has done????

Grasshopper you have a short memory my son!!

Don’t you recall that I still have the quickest Tornado manual in WA?

ET=12.7 If my memory serves me correct?

My technique is to smash the throttle and dump the clutch and from there on it’s all just a blur.

Then there is my auto Tornado with 12.4 with similar launch. Smash the throttle, close my eyes and count to 12 then hit the brakes.

Id imagine the F6 Sedan auto should go quicker being a 200kg’s lighter with the same power, but I think atm mine is the fastest auto BF F6 that has run albeit ute or sedan.

I do have a tendancy to over rev. Jason pointed this out to me!!!! I pretty much always go 5K+ when upshifting. Might try your technique but I doubt I'll hit the track untill next season when I have some more ponies.

No wonder you have 17 kids....

Read the fine print b4 shooting your load Gramps.. :sleepystuff:

"Quickest red ute with under 300rwkw" :stirthepot: .. It's all in the fine print...

Power in relation to time, that's what I'm on about..

Yes, you do have the quickest manual F6 ute period.. for a long time I gather..

Its all in the 60ft, get that down and you are well on your way...

1. Decent tyres (Drag Radials, not street tyres)

2. Good Launch (Slipping the clutch while maintaining revs)

3. Diff Ratio

All these will contribute to good 60ft times.

The rest will take care of itself...more or less, just dont miss any gears ;)

Oh......and practice, practice, practice  :sleepystuff:

Diff ratio??

Please explain.

My 3.73 causes the stock gearing to run too high in the rpm range over the tape. For optimal 1/4, a 3.43 should be fitted. OR, run 255/50/16" MT drag Radials.

As for tyres forget it, I have decent ones which didn't slip b4 the clutch at 4300rpm...

Oh, for 11's, my tip.. get EMS or similar fitted. With a strong A/M clutch and MT's, you'll need antilag.. ( imo )

So my 2.21 is something to be happy with?

Not bad.. I'm not sure on the gear ratios for T5..
