Headed to the plex tonight. Good night for it, initially.

Track was nice and grippy, for me anyway. F6_Tornado had grip issues with his Advan 103's..

The new Toyo Trampio TPG.. Freeking awesome tyres. Can't recommend them highly enough. Bucketloads of grip..

First run, 3000rpm on the dial, bogged slightly for a 12.97 @ 112mph with a 2.2 60' ( Unheard of at those revs )

Second run. Dialed up 4000rpm, or a squidge over. Lit the clutch and wizzzzzz. goodnight.

My technique of getting out of the hole has found a weak spot on a good track.

Was going to go for another run, but decided in the best interests of the uterus to park it..

Here's the damage...........

oh, the last run was a 14.4 @ 103mph  2nd gear skid..

Trade it in....................................................... :glad:

Gramps walked up, stood on the go pedal and ran 12.4 @ 116mph in his auto.

too easy.

I know what it's like to go down the mod road, travelled the paths many times. The car is at it's limits, and won't go any quicker without an exhaust and/or intercooler/intake mods. That defeats my purpose of cheap asre drag racing in a near stock leased car that has to go in 12/18 months..

Maybe if the thing :pooh: its-self shortly, I'll do something about it.. But not likey. It does very well considering how I drive. Actually, the whole car does..

I felt sorry for her tonight, she cried....

You hear it Launch quite well.. Problem was, it was spinning from the get go. 2.3/4 60' on a spinning clutch.

And no, it didn't want to touch a cog after that.

Interesting night to say the least.

I watched Bens run and was wondering what all the smoke was blowing out the right hand side off the line???? Mmmmm Clutch is slipping. :spoton:

I didn’t fare much better although Id say the problems with mine where operator assisted.

1st run was 12.4@116mph with driving off the line no wheelspin but then spinning through 1st and 2nd.

Next run was better and pulled a couple of 10th’s off at 660 but then took 2 gears in the auto…. Manual shift hesitates for ½ second and I thought I missed it so I pulled the stick again DOH!!!! :spoton:

3rd run was a disaster with a new map in to test, it wouldn’t take performance mode so I had no manual shifting and I need it for the 2nd > 3rd shift or it spikes through the limiter and noses over.

Not bad for a daily drive with hard cover, spare tire, full tank, etc 2 ton ute with just injectors and exhaust I think!

The Silver GT was one Barry Batton fitted one of his Blower kits to and he was running @ 120mph but had traction issues as u could imagine! Plus it was a manual.

Awesome beast!!!!
