Accolades and applause to Grant at Bob Jane in Osborne Park. gets dumped tomorrow so that's my budget for this month. It was either this or Hiddeous' intercooler. All I need now is big red brakes.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Nice wheel combo Ian. I went the same height/width combo with my ROH's.Only downside, cops don't like the different wheel width combo, and defected my car because of it. I had my car lowered too, and they didn't like that either. I've had to return the car back to stock suspension and wheels, and remove the tint as well. Word has it, the cops are really clamping down on vehicle modifications in Perth at the moment, as told to me by the vehicle examiners in Warwick.Sorry to go off-topic, but I thought I'd give you a heads-up.You car would look good lowered with the wheels though Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/24552-new-rubber/page/2/#findComment-367700 Share on other sites

Yours look hot dude!My one has Pirellis on it with stock wheels and these grip like crazy... havent had a surprise skid yet!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I'm using Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's on the rear. 275/30/19. I believe they are the best tyre you can buy. They used to be great but since the weather has cooled down I'm having trouble with traction. If I drive off from a set of lights normally then put my foot down my car will start laying rubber and won't stop till I back off. I think this is a combination of colder roads and cold tyres. They never used to loose traction when it was warmer.Geea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>But then again you drive a 10 sec monster Yeah warmer tyres grip much better and its been freezing in Melb lately. Im prolly a black sheep on this site but I have a soft spot for Xr6Ts... love the phoon, but also loving this new R33 I just bought! Your car rocks Geea! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I wouldn't say your a black sheep. This site is mainly about XR6T's but it's for all car enthusists. The Skylines are a great car, possibly one of the best to come out of Japan. It would be interesting to see what some of the Japanese tuning houses could do with a "T".Geea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Cheers! I actually agree, all these car sites are all dedicated to car lovers... I dislike the ones that constantly bag other cars... I mean a funny comment here and there is fine but some go over the top.Well the T runs already nicely with APS tunes... spend about 5-10 grand and the car is a monster... you know for yourself Im coming from a stock VS V6 Late model camira into this Skyline and let me just say that the build quality as well as things like ride quality just surpass the commodore! that's the problem with the Fords and Holdens, they need to correct their build quality. Ts have an awesome engine... with heaps of potential, just those lil sh*tty patch ups need to be corrected! But then again most guys dont care about these things I guess.I havent been in a T as yet although my mates brother is getting the BF one soon. We might all go to Winton park... you been to there?? Ian Member 56 Member For: 20y 9m 20d Gender: Male Location: Mackay Posted 05/04/06 01:22 PM Author Share Posted 05/04/06 01:22 PM Booked in for SL fronts and SSL rears, shortened bilstens as well. On the upside is that I'm only in Perth every 3rd week because of my work roster so the car is not on the road that much. Not that it will make any difference if I'm pulled over. Good thing is that the dish doesn't look that much different unless the car is moving, and I try not to attract any attention when driving, honest, but that the luck of the draw. Every now and then you have to give in to the inner bogun and say WTF Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/24552-new-rubber/page/2/#findComment-367708 Share on other sites

The actual lip isn't square, it is sort of angled down so it's more for peace of mind. the bumps stops were cut so its not them Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/24552-new-rubber/page/2/#findComment-367992 Share on other sites
