A couple of points:

1. The car was an ex-demo - so wasnt ordered as a new car (could have even been ex-demo and second hand?)

2. Utes dont normally have backseats

3. Auto lights on - utes?  I know eg they didnt have illuminated window switches on utes - so maybe not lights on?

I would have thought the deciding factors - wheels, 6 speed manual.

No idea what your grounds of replacement would be like - slim I would have guessed.

my wrong didn`t see the bit about it being a Ute give me a break its only a three letter word.

Mk2 ute s do have auto off headlights and dont have the reverse light mounted on the bumper.

My compliance plate says I am fitted with an 8 inch pen1s however, my lady says it is only 4 inches.

I am 44 years old, do I stand a chance of getting it replaced under warranty.

Depends if your pen*s is bent or straight, also if it performs within tolerance is also questionable.

Dads MK1 Pursuit doesn't have the reverse in the rear bumper, it was a late MK1 series change.

If it's a 5 speed it's MK1

If you bought a Mark2 and got a Mark 1, then they have not delivered you the product.

Even if it has been 12 months, it does not matter, they have ripped you off.

Make sure that you are correct in the fact that you did order and pay for a Mk2, but you were delivered a Mk1.

I would follow this up with ford.

Thanks all.

I have my recent WA rego papers handy which say mkII. But everything posted here indicates mkI for sure. I need to dig out my original SA rego papers from Jarvis Ford to work out Manufacture date I guess...although I will dig around the engine bay to see if it is stamped near the VIN or something.

Recommend I try and sort this out through the original dealer in Adelaide, or just try and get my local Ford dealer here in WA onto it?

Will keep you all posted!

I would look at the new vehicle order you would have signed. It should say Mk1 or 2. Rego papers mean nothing as they can easily be incorrect.

Find out what you ordered and then what you got. I would also only deal with the dealer you got it from as they are the ones who will have to fix the problem...if there is one.

Being a demo he wouldn't have placed a new vehicle order.

If your contract shows it as MKII I would be phoning them to "please explain"
