Thinking fo taking a break in tassie wiuth the missus. We havent gone away for 10 years as we are abit of a hermit and hate leaving the house.

Now it`s cheap to get there but where do I go once I`m there.

Do I stick to Hobart? Is there shopping there? Don`t suppose theres a Warner Brothers store.north south east west.

Any good advice, oh and keep it clean.

Save the trip until November and come over with us on the Tassie MKIII cruise. If its half as much fun as last years trip, you will have a ball. We had a couple of locals from the forum who joined us and showed us some great roads.

Hopefully DUCATIJB will be posting the details shortly - C'mon JB

Tassie is fabulous. Take the car and drive, drive, drive.

10 days cruising Tassie would be a great holiday

Don't think Tassie is a little island you will get around in a day, well you could but you would miss out on seeing some great places and some very good roads.

The east coast has some great ocean veiws and some very filling PANCAKES not to mention the roads will take the best part of 1 day to go from north to south or south to north.

West coast very isolated but good roads not much of a veiw.

East to west at the top some very nice little towns to stop off at crafts and stuff and not to forget the YELLOW EGGS .

In the middle (the heritage highway boring as bat :pooh: )

Major towns like Devonport, Burnie, Launceston, Hobart, all have shopping centres.

Hobart has a good Craft market called Salamanca on Saturdays right next to the middle of town and the docks where the Sydney to Hobart finishes.

Launceston has me in it so there :spit:

Hope this helps Stuart :gooff:

Tassie mk111 will be something that you will enjoy great place to come and see and a great bunch of people to see it with guys and girls and kids alike :auto:

While you're in Hobart don't forget to go for a blast up Mt Wellington but watch out for ice and snow on road. View is fantastic. Take a warm coat!

Other "touristy" things to do in Tassie include visit Cadbury chocolate factory (all the free samples you can eat! :sofa:) and also Boags beer factory (more free samples but not to takeaway :sofa: ).

Also in Hobart is the Wrest Point Hotel Casino if you're into gambling.

Port Arthur is another place worth a look, allow a full day for this.

http://www.discovertasmania.com.au is agood reference guide for things to do.
