Have alook at this DVD player

http://www.eslake.com/item/SDVD120.html

Its pritty Cheap

It will do the job

It also has 2 av inputs

That dvd play + a signal converter and some plugs will do what you need and will also allow for upgrades with the 2 av inputs.

Im actually going to put one of these into my car to test.

Might even take pics and do a write up on its install

I spoke with ASL and they are not prepared to do the handbrake issue, but will give me instructions of the installation so that I can get a auto-electrician to reverse the job they did. What a pain.

Crans: All is fine but I have know idea where to start mate- and knowing me I would give "Frank Spencer" a run for his money if I was let loose onto my car audio system. If I went the ASL route all I need is some healthful forum member to give me a hand to reverse engineer their handbrake crap. I wish you were here in Melbourne mate. Anyone else around the Hallam area that knows what they are doing for a slab of beer!!

Has anyone bought this item or similar off this guy for their T? Any ideas or other options I should look at first?

I do know this guy he works in electronics does installations on the weekends fitted out my F6.

1st fitted a control box and switch along with a DVD, MP3 player this allows viewing on the Factory colour ICC screen at any time you can still use the functions on the duel climate control etc: it has an over lay...

the unit has a remote so you can control it from the back seat.

Can also run an XBOX, PS2 etc through this unit..

People can be watching a DVD on the rear screen with the use of the cordless headphones, allows me to listen to my radio or CD if I wish too.

The 8'' screen on the roof, then changed the front speakers to Kicker 6.2 splits, in the rear 6x9 Blaupunkt speakers, these are powered by a Blaupunkt Amp...the Sub is a 12'' Sony SUB powered by a 2 channel Kenwood amp..

Below are some pictures, some are not so good to much sun..

The RCA's you see under the DVD player are not from the fitting.. They are the extra ones supplied for plugging in XBOX etc: I just sit them there, can be easily tucked away.

This guy is in the ‘’know’’ when it comes to Fords B-series electronics.

This was fitted 12 months ago; you can also run a rear view camera off these boxes now.

Adds a bit of weight to the car when you race, but a little bit of quality is nice, and the factory ICC screen has a awesome picture.

What do you mean by a hidden switch?? Surely thier has to be another way right than have to pull your handbrake up whislt driving.  Isnt this bead for the car??

You dont pull the handbrake up, you switch the switch so the dvd player thinks that the car has the handbrake on.

The reason I have a switch is due to the fact it is illegal to drive with the screen on. I dont watch it when driving, but passengers do - but to be on the safe side if ever pulled over by the blues, I can switch the switch and show it cuts out when the brake is put on.

It does disable cruise control though, which is gay.
