Ralph Wiggum Moar Powar Babeh Lifetime Members 19,332 Member For: 19y 7m 7d Gender: Male Location: Perth Posted 04/04/06 01:12 AM Share Posted 04/04/06 01:12 AM Hey guy i shave and aps exhaust on my ute that in purchased in may last year and ive noticed a drop in power lately so after talking with Simon from Xtreme we started having a look around to find the cause and have fround the cat has collasped internally blocking aprox 30% of the cat.do you guys think i have resonable claim with APS for waranty on a cat thats less then a year old?it a bit of a poor quality photo because i took it with my phone but you can see how the mesh has pulled away from the can and compressed around the edges.i have contacted APS and there dealer here in perth an im patiently awating there reply... Anyways, I think you best get on to APS themselves and demand some things. Only problem is they will most likely replace it, and it will do the same thing within 12 months. Sounds like the same problem a few people have had wih them, the heat changes causing a break down in the material inside the cat.Have you spoken to anyone at APS? All the units I know of have been tuned properly so ETGs should not cause the cat to collapse. The cat costs money because it's the best you can buy for the XR6T, IMO.
