In all fairness, the liquidator is merely protecting the interests of the creditors! Even then, they still require the creditors to submit proof of debt. Though they are administering the business, they still operate within the guidelines of acceptable trade practices in the relevant state.

Therefore, they are not any tougher to make warranty claim against per sae.

Only thing fitted to my T now is the airfilter, I almost wish I'd not paid for the extra warranty, then I'd be playing with the car now, instead of trying to sell it. If ION is in receivership forget getting ANYTHING out of them without a fight. Accountants who perform that kind of work are tighter than a fossilized anchovie's ar$ehole.

The extended warranty can be refunded by faxing to Ford that you want to cancel it.

As for ION, they are not OUR supplier and thus do not carry our warranty.

Ford are 100% responsible for the warranty on the gearboxes, not ION. If Ford say that ION will not honor the warranty, it is bad luck for Ford not you.

Ford sometimes will use this as an excuse that is not valid, you should ALWAYS take them to task over this type of response.

The automatic 4speed gear boxes have a ring ion or in the early days btr before work is carried out on them so this would make it there responsiblity to repair them.

They where even putting a sticker on the trans it self to say this.
