I agree overall, but what about the TC and foggies cleverly hidden behind the wheel so that you can't see them?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Typhoon owners do not have the TC button problem. It's down by the shifter. The fog light switch is still in the same spot as the T's though.

Now, for my buggings:

Low fuel (DTE) alarm still comes from the guage pod area and not from the radio area (afterall, it's displayed on the radio display anyway). As previous car was a T, every time it goes off, I still glance at the dash. I'm slowly relearning its new location.

I can't say as the guage number size bothers me. What does bother me is that when the steering wheel is in your lap (column all the way down) I cannot clearly see the top of the gauges without tilting my head slightly.

Aside from those two things, I cannot think of anything else that really bothers me about the car.

the seat belt chime

...

better sound system

The only time this really annoys me is when I'm sitting at a drive through waiting to pay with EFTPOS.

A better sound system bugs you? :sleepystuff:

I here the seat belt chime is annoying. I know most of you wouldnt know but have you heard the ones on the commodores, they come on and sound constantly. At least the Ford one stops for a bit before blareing again.

The seat belt chimes can be turned off!

It's one of the first things I did.

Can't stand things beeping at me except my Shiftkits RPM module, for some reason this one does'nt annoy me? Maybe cause I only hear it for a fraction of a second before I shift up.

The ignition key lock, I have to bend down and around to see it behind the steering wheel, I try to remember to stick the key in as I get in but I forget mostly of course! I find that one a bit annoying.

I think I'll agree with ya on this one. My 2000 AU seemed easier to blindly find the key slot. With the Typhoon (and previously with the T), it was a learning thing where you feel around for the plastic shroud in order to find the key hole (keep your minds outta the gutter you lot lol). Now it's just second nature. :)

The cup holders are in the worst place for manual drivers, any drink in the drivers side holder just gets in way of shifting

Hi All

My rear vision mirror rattles. I know its very minor but it drives me insane.

Im almost at the point of having it replaced ...bet it costs six million dollars though.

Damn I wish I still had my precious warranty.

Guys after reading all this I kinda get the impression that you are not entirely happy with your cars. If any potential buyers were to read this I don't think they would be too impressed. But on a more postive note.

Why doesn't everyone mention some good points about their cars??

I would like to read some positives as I am considering buying one of these weapons/lemons  :spoton:

Every car forum is filled with threads about how great and near perfection the forums 'car of choice' is. When I was shopping around for a car, the things which I most wanted to read about were the problems people were having. I think this thread is great. There are many, many other places on this site where you can read about all the good reasons to buy an xr6t.

Thanks Nerazzuri, the point you made highlights and makes me admire the FordXR6Turbo.com website even more... I want the pros & cons... I have come to this site to do my homework along with a few other sites, magazines and what not, before purchasing MYXR6T06... thanks for fueling my need for XR6T SPEEEED :msm:

cheers :spit:
