You have been the luckiest guy alive so far Luke.

It's probably not a good idea to push your luck. :stirthepot:

What's the 2500 stall like to drive day to day?

Any increase in fuel consumption?

Its actually not really that different, I mean to describe it as simply as I can, you give it about half throttle and the car is revving hard under boost, it seems like the gearbox is slipping until you look at the speedo! :stirthepot:

Driving off the line isnt really a worry, the way its set up at the moment, the shifts get firmer the harder you stick your foot in it. I thought it would be a pain when they first suggested it, but knowing what its like to drive now im glad I spent the extra.

It took 11.5 ltrs of oil to refill it since the converter and tranny cooler had to be filled, and at $260 for 20ltrs  for tranzmax Z not a cheap exersize, but like I have promised muself from day one, if im gunna stuff around and mod this thing it will be the best quality available.

how much?

Like I said, starts at about $1800 if you give them a perfect box, but not many of us have one of those left.

I took mine out and put it back in myself and actually freighted the gearbox from Canberra to Melbourne, cause every one here has no f%$king idea.

All in all, including oil and freight, but without installation I didnt get much change out of about $3400 with a written guarantee to hold up to 330rwkw.

Next for me is Brakes, as the stockers are just not cutting it anymore!

Fuel consumption is actually lower for the first 2 tanks since I have done the box. Dunno why?

Preston's were / are doing beefed up boxes for $1250 exchange....

I think that was for bands and cluches upgraded. No gearset re-tempering, Cervo work or high stall.

What is it like performance wise, if you just hit WOT without stalling up - not so good?

Also, how does it run in peak hour traffic, slow driving?

Glad it all turned out ok for you; Pretty darned expensive driving style you have there Danno! With the brakes either go the BCR's PBR Premo kit or DBA 4000 slotted and RB74 pads = either one prodices a huge improvement. However. there is always the awesome set of rotors and callipers that Mick has fitted, least they would fill up the insides of your wheels more effectively.
