Well, as the title said, the original thread

http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...pic=23283&st=18

has had an awesome ending. With plenty of help from Geea, the guys at Kewish have everything sorted, with fantastic results. :msm:

The gearbox had burnt the band, and smashed teeth off the gearset. After a full rebuild, including cervo and planetary replacement and modifications, a 2500 stall torque converter, bands, clutches etc etc, the result is great.

Nice line shifts in drive, and firmer faster again shifts in performance mode, this upgrade has definately quenched my thirst for more speed.

For anyone wanting their car to feel faster on the road, raise the "Auto upgrade" well up the ladder. I bet its taken about .5 seconds off the quarter time, that's if we had a friggen dragstrip in Canberra to test it on.

One thing I have to do left is to get the converter settings in my edit increased to allow it to stall up to its full capacity, as since I had the shift settings returned to stock to try the box out initially, the "D" light flashes and the box goes into temporary limp mode if I try and stall it up above 2500rpm. But with a few clicks on the scaling on the tuners software I think it could be launched from 2800  , if I can ever afford good enough tyres to do it!

all in all, highly recommended from here, and thanks to Geea for all his help throughout the entire process. :spoton:

Glad I was able to help Dan and I'm really happy that you're enjoying your car. :mexicanwave:

Does anyone do change-over autos? I struggle to find the time to be without the car for a day or more.
