Hey all,

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I'm 23 and live in regional NSW.

Been watching this site as a guest for a while now and as a result I have since put my 2002 Nissan 200sx on the market. It get taken tomorrow (for more than I paid for it) and I pick up my 2003 XR6T at the end of the week! Cant wait!!

When I first looked at the car I had no idea but since I've been educated by this site I now know much more. So thanks for all your info!

Just for info:

2003 BA XR6T - Blueprint

Edit

CAI

Oil Cooler

Stainless Exhaust

Koni adjustables

Koni adjustable sway bars

GT Rear wing

5 spd manual

Its a workshops owner car and as such has only done 21000km.

Let me know what you think. And what difference should I notice from my previous rice rocket? (It was fairly modded).

Also what power should it put out?

Cheers all!

Mike

Welcome and congrats on the new purchase. Blueprint is king of the T colors so well done on your choice.

Power is hard to guess, but maybe 250 plus meaning you should have a 12 second car.

Not sure how it will compare to your ricer as I have never driven one.

Wow, that's a little more than I am used too! The 200 had about 190rwkw but only wieghed 1200kg.

Just really wanted to get into a bigger more comfortable car! (Thought I'd never say that! I sound old!)

JETUTE:

Not officially, but Its what I'm getting definitely. Was just waiting to sell my car, I know the prior owner pretty well.

am glad to hear you know the previous owner pretty well... in that case you would know that that the 5 speed manual does not handle modifications too well...

when you drive the car turn off the radio and any other noise making item and listen to the box to see if it makes a slight whining sound in third gear (the T5 modified is notorious for this)... also shift into 5th at at 130+ kph and listen for crunch sound.... Just want to let you know that the T5 manual is known for a few problems and as long as you make sure the problems are not present before you buy all should be good :spoton:

hope you enjoy the new car and again welcome to the forums.

I ran my T5 with 250rwkw for around 7000km. Its now running around 280rwkw. I never noticed any whine until I put the transmaxz oil into it. In saying that however, the car shifts better, and feels stronger. I can live with a slight gearbox noise and whine!!

I'm currently saving for the T56 conversion... and if you are going to mod the car, then you should set aside at least $7000 for clutch and gearbox. My standard clutch didn't feel like it was slipping... until I got the new mal wood option 2 clutch, and now I know how bad it was slipping, as this thing just grips! :sleepystuff: if you are planning to mod, you'll basically need a clutch straight up.. that's not a 100% given thing, but its more then likely!

your 200 must have went like a rocket!!! with 190rwkw and only 1200kg... but you'll enjoy the T, they're awesome :kissmy:
