1. download this http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip, run a 'System scan and logfile' top option - if you are fairly confident in your own ability you can choose what u think doesnt look like it should be there then click FIX and it will remove the badness. I have used this with 95% success over the years.

2. Windows Defender Beta 2

grab Windows Defender from here and give it a try.

3. Microsoft® Windows® Malicious Software Removal Tool (KB890830)

In IE make sure you use the popupblocker (I hope ya using Win XP Service Pack 2) coz it will stop that sh*t getting installed most of the time.

Download the new Windows Defender. I usually find that mixed with Spybot are the ultimate toolkit for removing spyware. If all else fails try and get your hands on a copy of Pest Patrol (not free) but a great tool!

Adware SE ( Lavasoft)

Spyware Blaster

This should help keep your machine reatively clean ... works ok for me

Ohhh and BTW stay away from the Pron sites as this will tend to infest your machine

I have dowloaded Hitman Pro (let be your friend) which combines the above software (except M$) and a few others. Finds and kills stuff that SB, AA & Spybot don't take care of.

I've heard that pr0n sites can be bad....
