I agree with the comments regarding the XB bonnet scoops on the new Monaro.....we always knew hey were behind...it took them 30 years to beat the HO so why not copy the XB GT 30 years down the road as well?

Just think, we only have 10 years to wait until we'll be seeing holdens with xD ESP two tone paint work...

I think the bulge actually suits the Monaro. They are a great looking car, I was deciding between one and the XR6T - only having two back seats, and a sh*t stereo, plus a second hand one cost as much as the new XR.

The GTO holes arnt a copy of the Falcon XB, they are a copy of the 60s Pontiac GTO ones (since that what they are named after). You might even find that Ford got the idea off the Pontiac - aghhh - shock horror!

I saw a APS Phase 3 XR6T in Wellington over the weekend. It had:

- XR8 Bonnet

- Typhoon Side Pods

- GT Wing (might have had a F6 or GT front cant remember)

I guess the overall look was quite good (although only painted in some shade of primar) - it did make me think it was a little confused as to what it was (and I dont normally mind so called Trannys). I personally would prefer a V8 Supercar rear wing and XR8 bonnet - just cause they look good, and at least you are only pinching from one model!

Still it raises the question how hard is it to swap bonets between Expensive Daewoo and ford?

Scotty

And I want to know the answer to that question the same as I want to know how hard it is to gargle sand......... :msm:
