Honestly?

Everything...

Are you going bonnet up or keeping it shut? If up, make sure you do a good job of cleaning it up, make sure all your fluid levels are topped up too, makes it look a bit more finished...

Maybe PM Mr Turbo (Rob) and ask him as he did something similar a few weeks ago for a show and won a trophy, said it was all elbow grease but well worth the effort...

Paint wise, a good clean and polish, and touch up any stone chips in the front bumper... can't really think of anything else, I've never shown a car before so that is what I would do...

Good Luck!! And have fun with it!!

Pay special attention to detail, its the small things that make all the difference. ie Clean wheels and brakes to within an inch of there life etc and anywhere where a white gloved finger can find dust or grime. It's all about a long and thorough clean. Since its your first, have a good look at the other cars there and take some notes for future. If you dont win, dont worry to much, just have fun and learn from it and you will get better at every outing.

Cheers

Jeff

Natural carunaba wax gives a higher lustre finish than synthetic waxes. remember to open everything and detail around the edges I.e. fuel filler, doors , boot, that sort of thing. a detailing brush is your friend for ALL the cracks where panels and everything joins. Dont forget the inside of the glass. Paint on sillicone based tyre black gives better sheen when fresh (but tends to go brown later- days later). Have a good check in direct sun the day before for water spots or similar that can be removed.

Enjoy, and take pride in participating.

Cheers.
