I Think My Pulley Is Going? Serpentine Belt? {Merged Topic}

Get a new belt and replace the two idler pullies and that will fix it.

Had the same prob.

I bought the car s/hand and had the squeak fixed under dealer warranty.

Apparently its burs on the pulley and the BA is renound for it.

Not sure which pulley though.

I had alot of belt dust.

Hi All,

Just wondering how much rubber comming off belt is normal? Car 15K old. There's no frayed edges on belt etc. but the belt tensioner is covered in fine rubber bits?

mine did it all the way to around 30,000klm. Nothing at all now. I used to wipe it off everytime I opened the bonnet.
